3 tips to prepare for Radio Play auditions

#poster

Auditions for Radio Plays are in just 2 weeks. Make sure you are prepared before you come. You don’t have to memorize these lines, but you DO have to know why you’re saying them and how they fit into the whole story. Be prepared. — You don’t want to stammer through a cold reading. Here are a few tips to give you a head start…

Before you come to auditions:

  1. Read all the audition info at http://act2theatre.org/audition-info.
  2. Open the links to the plays that interest you and look them over. You can read them online, or print them out if you want.
  3. When you decide which parts you’d like to do, read the lines out loud a few times. Hearing yourself speak the lines out loud lets you experiment with lots of different choices. You may have only one chance to read for a particular role at auditions.
