Reservations are required if you want to make it a dinner theatre. Dinner and show are $16.
You can skip dinner and just take in the show for $10.

Here’s the story as described by the publisher, Dramatists Play Service:

A college student, Carol, drops by her professor’s office in an effort to gain his help to do better in class. John, the professor, in the midst of buying a house to celebrate his nomination for tenure, at first seems distant. As the first meeting progresses the two discuss the nature of understanding and judgment in society, as well as their very own natures and places in our society. It seems as if a bond has been made. When next they meet we find that a report has been filed to the tenure committee. Carol has joined a “group” and has decided that John sexually harassed her during their first meeting. Their second meeting dissects the first; every word, every nuance of the first meeting has been twisted into something else. Or has it? John’s unsuccessful attempts to convince Carol to retract her accusation escalate to a more dangerous level. The third meeting, one the court officers warned against, climaxes violently, leaving John and Carol both physically and emotionally devastated.

Due to a plethora of circumstances beyond our control, we have to postpone A Trip to Bountiful until next year.

We’re working on a few other ideas right now and will post something as soon as we know for certain what our next offering will be.

We’re really excited about our upcoming spring production! Victor Folio will make his directorial debut with A Trip to Bountiful by Horton Foote.

The Story

The play is set in Texas in the 1940s. Elderly Carrie Watts wants to go home to the town where she grew up, Bountiful. Her overprotective son and his domineering wife oppose her wish at every turn, but Carrie escapes them. When she finds that the trains no longer go to Bountiful, she takes a bus. There she befriends a young woman who is traveling alone. The son and daughter-in-law track her down and alert the police. When she gets to Bountiful, the local sheriff is waiting and is so moved by her desire to see her old girlhood home that he helps her get there. She finds Bountiful a deserted place, but she reconnects with it in a profound way. Her goal is complete before her son and his wife arrive to take her back to Houston.

Our latest show successfully raised funds for four agencies in Harrison County, WV that provide services to the homeless—The Clarksburg Mission, The Shepherd’s Corner, The Open Door, and the YWCA of Harrison County. And a cute little kitten from the Harrison County Humane Society found a new home.

The cast of I TAKE THIS MAN gave audiences a great evening of laughs.
