Welcome Doug Martin to the ACT 2 stage

Doug Martin

Douglas Martin is a new resident of Harrison County since his recent marriage to Clarksburg native Jennifer Giaquinto Shreves. He appears as the beleaguered hotel guest who just wants a little peace and quiet.

Doug comes to us from Asheville, North Carolina with a wealth of theatre experience. He has been involved in theatre since his elementary school appearance as the Munchkin Farmer in The Wizard of Oz. His adult roles have included On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Sly Fox, Dear World, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, My Sister Eileen, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and The Man Who Came to Dinner. His favorite role was the opportunity to play Ben Gant in the stage adaptation of Thomas Wolfe’s Look Homeward, Angel.

Before his move to Bridgeport, Doug’s most recent roles were Mr. Gower in It’s A Wonderful Life and Franklin in Children of a Lesser God. He also wrote, produced, and directed the feature-length film Artful Deception, a story of six 12-year-old girls who solve a mystery involving attempted art fraud.

In “real life,” Doug is an attorney and mediator who enjoys reading, film, travel, and time with his family

We look forward to seeing Doug in more ACT 2 productions in the future!
