We needed a guy who was willing to play a guy in drag. And did we ever get the right guy for this! Shawn Rogers is playing duel roles as John, Maria’s roommate, who must quickly transform into “Suzanne” when Maria’s strict Catholic parents come to visit and expect to meet Maria’s female roommate.
Shawn Graduated from East Fairmont High school…went to college at Queens University in Charlotte NC where he majored in Fine Art and minored in Vocal Performance/Theater after college he moved to DC and became a resident make-up artist for Prescriptives Cosmetics.
In DC he made his mark in the drag community as Vita Opulence performing in 3 different nightclubs 4 nights a week…hosting two shows…Ziegfelds, Velvet Nation, Remington’s. He says,
