Meet Susan Capicotto Nichols

Susan Capicotto Nichols as Artie

Susan hasn’t even been in the area a year yet and already she’s an actively involved with us! Not only is she playing the role of Artie in Eleemosynary, she’s also our newest board member. We asked Susan to tell us a little about herself and how theatre has played a part in her life. Here’s what she had to say…

“I am new to the area having moved from Tampa, Florida to West Virginia only 6 months ago. My philosophy is to immerse myself into new things and one of my goals was to get involved with ACT 2 theatre. I became a member of the Board of Directors and auditioned for my first show in the first month! I have been involved in Community Theatre in New Port Richey, FLorida since 1997. Some of my favorite performances were the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, Desdemona in Lend Me a Tenor, M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias and Bella in Lost in Yonkers.

I have also performed with a Dinner Theatre troupe doing murder mysteries and an Italian wedding comedy show. I am enjoying West Virginia and all it has to offer with its natural beauty, the wonderful people I have met and the abundance of theatre and culture. Eleemosynary is a very different and challenging show. This has been an enjoyable experience learning and growing with my character, Artie. While we are very different mothers, we can always find a little bit of ourselves in every character.”

We are so glad Susan is the outgoing lady that she is! And we’re really looking forward to her performance as Artie.
